Which NOX 2025 padel racquet is best for you?

When you are working out which NOX 2025 padel racquet is best for you, it can be a difficult decision regardless of whether you are new to padel or a highly experienced player. The technology continues to improve. Below are some of the key differences across the range and a useful chart to help you make the best decision.

Shape and Balance

The main racquet shapes are Diamond (high balance – weight towards the top), Teardrop (medium balance, weight in the middle) and Round (low balance, weight towards the handle).

Diamond padel racquets is very popular amongst professional padel players, they tend to be more powerful, but have a smaller sweet spot. They are best suited to players with an attacking overhead style of play. If you are looking to use a diamond head shape for the first time, it is recommended to go for a lighter weight option to make the transition easier.

Teardrop padel racquets are most suited to intermediate and advanced players  with a  more varied style of play. They offer a combination of power and control. The flexibility of this style of racquet means that everyone’s game can thrive with them.

Round head shape padel racquets are the best option for beginners or those wanting to maximise their shot control. Their low balance makes them easy to move and comfortable to play with. These racquets have bigger sweet spots and offers greater control but may lack power on smashes when compared to Teardrop or Diamond shape racquets.

Weight

The weights of the padel racquets we sell are between 350-375g and whilst this is a very small difference people tend to have specific preferences in this range. Generally, if you prefer a power game then a heavier racquet should lend itself to that. However, if you are new to padel or have any elbow/shoulder injury slight lighter racquets may be most suitable. Ultimately, unless the racquet is really heavy or light it is not going to have a significant impact on most of your shots and it is just for big smashes that the heavier racquets will provide that extra power.

Hardness

The hardness of a padel racquet impacts how it feels when you hit the ball. A harder racquet tends to generate greater power, less feeling, and more vibrations up your arm. A softer racquet provides a feeling of greater control with less vibration. For beginners, it is best to focus on control over power and so a softer racquet would be more suitable. However, experienced tennis players tend to prefer harder racquets when they start playing padel.

Our recommendations:

For players at the start of their padel journey

  1. The Equation – one of the best value racquets on the market perfect for beginners but will also be very effective for intermediate players.

  2. The X-One, the most affordable racquet in the NOX range that still provides good quality and durable racquet that will last you until you are ready for an intermediate racquet.

For intermediate players

  1. The ML10 Pro Cup Rough – a classic NOX racquet that provides power and control with a rough surface to add extra impetus on your spin shots. This is the perfect intermediate racquet for players looking for a smooth transition from beginner racquets to advanced racquets.

  2. The AT10 Pro Cup Comfort – a more advanced shape than the ML10 providing a bit of extra power on the overheads. This is the best racquet for players wanting a more advanced feel but are not ready to commit to the advanced racquets price range.

For experienced players

  1. AT10 Genius 12K – the same racquet that Agustin Tapia uses but 12k carbon instead of 18k aluminized carbon. This creates a bit of extra power in the racquet which makes it perfect for players with all-round skills that just want that little bit extra on their smashes. The 18k Alum is also a near perfect racquet but the extra power in this gives it that little bit extra.

  2. NextGen Pro Hybrid – the perfect entry advanced level racquet as it offer better power and control ratios than the advanced racquets but at a similar price level. This makes it one of the best value advanced racquets on the market.
