Scoring

  • Scoring is the same as tennis, although 'Golden Point' can be used instead of deuce. If this is adopted, the receiving team can decide who the opposing team serves to, and whoever wins the point wins the game.

  • To win a game, you must win four points with a two-point advantage (unless you're playing Golden Point). Games are scored as:
    15 – one point
    30 – two points
    40 – three points

  • To win one set, you have to win six games and be leading by two clear games. At six games all a tie break is played to determine the winner of the set.

Serving

  • Serving is always underarm, and the ball must bounce once before you hit it. You must get the ball in the diagonal service box on your opponents's side.

  • A serve is out if the ball hits the cage after the first bounce (it can hit the wall after the first bounce though).

Winning a Point

  • The ball has to clear the net, and hit the floor before it touches any of the walls. If it hits the wall/cage without bouncing, the shot is out.

  • The ball is only allowed one bounce before you have to hit it. If it bounces twice on your side of the court, your opponents win the point.

  • The walls can be used in two ways. Either the ball bounces once and hits the wall before you hit it back, or you can hit the ball back against the wall to try and land it on your opponents’ side of the court.
